Arispira Played by KawaiiDragon

Arispira was born in Mere, back when the city’s harbors were crowded with merchant ships and the streets buzzed with the clamor of trade. Her parents were tieflings—or so she believed. In truth, they were dragonborn hiding their heritage beneath careful illusion.

Life in Mere was good then. The constant influx of travelers meant fewer glares and whispered fears toward tieflings, and Arispira grew up playing freely among the other children. Her closest friend was a boy named Adam, and the two were often seen racing through alleyways, skipping stones at the docks, and daring each other into trouble.

Then came The Red Raids.

Chaos tore through the city. In the smoke and screams, Arispira was separated from her parents. She returned to find her home ablaze, only to be struck by falling rubble. When she awoke, the fire was gone, her memories scattered, and her parents nowhere to be found.

The only thing she remembered was the long walk away from Mere—fleeing with other refugees—until a group of elves took pity on her and let her travel with them to Lower Aerys.

She believed her parents were dead. Grief quickly hardened into rage. Under the elves’ tutelage, she learned to steal, fight, and survive, shaping herself into someone who could take revenge on those who had destroyed her city.

When she came of age, she left the elves behind and began hunting the raiders responsible for Mere’s fall. One by one, she tracked them down across the land. Some fell to her blade, others to misfortune or the hands of strangers, and each time she felt a little less satisfied. Years passed, and when at last she believed the last of them was dead, she was left hollow.

She wandered, unsure where to go, until she saw a posting for a job that paid next to nothing. For reasons she couldn’t explain, she took it. That choice brought her to Tarvo, Pymis, Florien, and Rona and, unexpectedly, to companionship that felt more permanent than the work itself.

After saving a girl during that quest, the group learned that Mere was once again under attack. This time, Arispira didn’t hesitate. Something about these people made her believe she could rely on them, and she set out with them for her old home. Pymis stayed behind for his so-called “girlfriend,” but the rest pressed on.

The journey to Mere gave her more answers than she had bargained for. She had met Kerrick, another Dragon Slayer, which only deepened her fear—she was, after all, part dragon. She learned her name was not truly Arispira, and that her parents were likely still alive. And Adam, the boy she had once raced through the streets of Mere with, was in fact Tarvo, the lost prince of Aerys.

Returning to Mere was not the victory she’d imagined. Instead, it left her adrift, no longer certain who she was or what she should do. With the group now heading toward Waterdeep — the opposite direction of the elves who had raised her—she began to wonder whether her next path lay in finding her parents… or heading to the only family she had left for questions.
